Microsoft’s PC gaming initiative has begun to bear fruit a little, with the last few PC ports of their games actually being fairly good. There are, of course, still some problems- Microsoft’s Xbox games are only available on PC via the Windows Store, which is loathed by just about everyone who uses it, and they are tied to the UWP format.

Halo 5 Steam Release
Some Xbox games, such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Quantum Break, and Dead Rising 4, have shown up on PC on Steam as Win32 exe files- but none that were actually developed by Microsoft’s internal studios. However, if this rumor on OnMSFT is correct, then we may be seeing some Xbox One exclusives make their way to PC- Xbox One exclusives that aren’t even available via the Windows Store yet.
1 point 1 year ago. Halo 5 isn't coming at the momment, but at the very least once the Master Chief collection is fully released on PC, Halo 5 should be a much easier game to release next since due to the forge edition the engine and Mutiplayer is already done on PC, they're only need to port over the Campaign and such. Recorded this mission in 1920x1080 as my other clips are in weird aspect ratios for testing purposes.https://store.steampowered.com/app/976730/HaloTheMaste. HaloWaypoint.com is the official site for the Halo universe, featuring the latest information about Halo games and media, news from 343 Industries and the home of the Halo community. Halo 5: Forge is a free Windows 10 app that lets you build your own levels for Microsoft's popular first-person shooter, as well as host up to 16-player matches on any of your custom arenas. Plus, Halo 5 is more of a multiplayer-oriented game and there’s doubt that it’d get enough of an audience on Steam to support it. But hey, maybe one day. Source: Halo Waypoint. NEXT: Cowabunga! Halo 5 Pc Release Date Steam
According to the findings of SteamDB, a reputable site that keeps track of changes in the Steam database, listings for Halo 5: Guardians and Forza Motorsport 5 have been discovered within the Steam database. This seems to imply that the games might launch on Steam at some point in the future (possibly alongside, or after, a Windows Store release)- at the same time, however, it is important to remember that not all Steam database listings pan out. Remember that Halo 3 listing in the Steam database from all those years ago? Ten years later, Halo 3 is still an Xbox 360 exclusive.
