Sorry for the delay - essentially both Vuze and BiglyBT freeze on application install (Vuze has always frozen after launching in Big Sur). This does seem to be a Java issue with Big Sur, but I have not been able to figure out what the Java issue is. Vuze will automatically install the latest software (this may require one or two restarts depending on which components need updating). Once this is complete you can verify that you are running the Beta software by checking the bottom left of the status bar.

Thank you for clarifying this one. Since this happened after you updated to Big Sur, there is a chance that the update got corrupted thus unable to get your information. What I can highly recommend is to contact Apple Care so they can revert back to the previous OS, back up your files first before updating back to Big Sur.

The latest version of Vuze, 5.7, is compatible with 64-bit operating systems on the later versions of Mac (Catalina and soon, Big Sur), but you may have to make sure that you have Java 6 as the default in your configuration settings for the app to work properly. Is Vuze safe for Mac?
