According to the Administrators Guide there now is a Workspace mode. This mode enables displaying the Citrix Storefront page to start the applications. Eventhough I’ve selected this options it doesn’t display this mode but uses the Classic mode. I can’t find any other options to configure according to the guide.
Has anyone else tried this option so far? E.t..
We have the workspace mode working, but I have found an error that might explain your experience.
If you select “Reset the system setting to factory default” when restarting or shutting down, it will not use workspace mode again.
Only workaround I found to get it back was downgrading to Thinos 9.0, and then upgrading again. Quite annoying.

The solution is setting “User Experience” > “System mode” to Classic (default is modern)

citrix and microsoft have worked together to deliver code fixes for both windows server 2016 and xenapp.
microsoft is targeting their patch for the third week of august (kb4034661, which will be available via the microsoft®update catalog). we will include our fix in xenapp 7.15 ltsr, available here: https://www.citrix.com/downloads/xenapp-and-xendesktop/.
note: both fixes are required to resolve this issue.

0 - feature enabled (logon ui suppression – no black screen)
1 - feature disabled (you will see the black screen issue).

- extract the rpm.dll from zip file
- on the server vda, navigate to c:program files (x86)citrixsystem32
- rename rpm.dll to rpm.dll.bak to back up the original version of rpm.dll
- copy the patched rpm.dll to c:program files (x86)citrixsystem32
- navigate to: hkey_local_machinesoftwarecitrixcitrix virtual desktop agent
- create the following registry value:
- (value type = reg_dword): disablelogonuisuppression
- value= 0
- reboot the server vda.
